Laser Hair Reduction
Laser hair reduction at Parlor is Lena’s work. She is a licensed esthetician with more than three decades in skin and beauty and continuing education every year, and since 2020 she has also trained and certified other laser technicians. She treats all hair types except gray, white or very light hair, which has no pigment for any laser to find. Every plan is built at a consultation around your hair’s color, density and texture, your skin tone, hormones and the area. Parlor works under a supervising physician.
Laser season runs September 15 to April 15, the months when skin sees the least sun. The calendar fills three to six months ahead, so book your consultation early.

Reduction, Not Removal
Most guests require 8–10 treatments, and some require more depending on age, hormones, hair density, texture, and consistency with treatment timing. Laser hair reduction can dramatically reduce growth, but no provider can ethically guarantee 100% permanent removal. After the series, resistant hair and maintenance come down to a touch-up about every six months.
Once a treatment series is completed, maintenance visits are offered at 50% off the single-treatment rate. Membership pricing is also available for guests who want long-term maintenance built into their plan; memberships run five years.
Why Laser Has a Season
Sun raises the pigment in your skin, and laser energy is set to that pigment: the deeper the tan, the lower it has to go. A tanned guest would pay the same for a weaker treatment, so Parlor treats from September 15 to April 15, when skin sees the least sun. Plan on two weeks clear of sun, tanning beds and self-tanner on the area before and after each session.
Treatments are spaced weeks apart, so your consultation maps the full series onto the calendar. Laser belongs in trained hands, and your overall health and well-being come first; that is why every plan starts with a consultation. More in When to Book Laser.
Common Questions
Who does laser hair reduction at Parlor?
Lena does. She is a licensed esthetician with more than three decades in skin and beauty and continuing education every year, and since 2020 she has also trained and certified other laser technicians. She builds every laser plan at a consultation, and Parlor works under a supervising physician.
What device does Parlor use?
Venus Versa. It is one device with eleven heads that swap out, each for a different kind of treatment.
Does it work on dark hair?
Yes. Laser targets pigment, so darker hair responds best. It is not effective on gray or white hair. Skin tone matters too, which is why every plan starts with a consultation.
Does it work on gray or blonde hair?
Laser needs pigment in the hair to work. Gray, white and very light blonde hair has too little for any laser, so waxing, or electrolysis for a permanent result, is the better choice there.
How much does laser hair removal cost?
From $75 to $550 per treatment, depending on the area, as the table above shows. A package of ten costs less per visit, and five-year memberships build long-term maintenance into the plan. After a full series, maintenance visits are half the single rate.
Can you treat any area?
Most areas of the face and body, as the table above shows. If the area you're thinking about isn't listed, ask; the consultation will settle it.
Why is there a laser season?
Sun raises the pigment in your skin, and laser energy has to come down to match it, so a tanned guest would pay the same for a weaker treatment. Parlor treats from September 15 to April 15, when skin sees the least sun.
Is it painful?
Most guests describe a quick snapping sensation with warmth. It varies by area and by person, and comfort is managed throughout.
Is it permanent?
It is reduction, not guaranteed removal. Over a full series, growth is dramatically reduced for most guests, and what grows back is usually finer and lighter. Maintenance keeps it that way: a touch-up about every six months.
